الرئيس  السيسي يستقبل  رئيس تيار الحكمة الوطني العراقي والوفد المرافق له

استقبل الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم  "عمار الحكيم" رئيس تيار الحكمة الوطني العراقي والوفد المرافق له، وذلك بحضور اللواء عباس كامل رئيس المخابرات العامة.

وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار د. أحمد فهمي أن  الرئيس أكد خلال اللقاء دعم مصر الثابت والراسخ للعراق الشقيق، ومساندتها لكافة جهوده الرامية إلى تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية. ومن جانبه، أكد السيد عمار الحكيم قوة وعمق العلاقات التاريخية بين البلدين، مشدداً على محورية الدور المصري في حماية أمن واستقرار المنطقة العربية، ومثمناً الدعم المصري للعراق ومواقف مصر الصادقة في دعم جميع الدول العربية والإسلامية الشقيقة. 

وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاء تناول الأوضاع الإقليمية المتوترة، والحرب في قطاع غزة، حيث تم تناول الجهود المصرية المكثفة لوقف إطلاق النار وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية بكميات كبيرة تكفي للتخفيف من المعاناة الإنسانية الهائلة بالقطاع، وتم تأكيد ضرورة اضطلاع المجتمع الدولي بمسئولياته في حماية المدنيين ووقف إطلاق النار، مع التشديد على ضرورة التسوية الشاملة والعادلة للقضية الفلسطينية، والتحذير من خطورة استمرار التصعيد وتداعياته على استقرار المنطقة.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was also attended by Director of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Abbas Kamel.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's steadfast and unwavering stand with Iraq, as well as its support for Iraq’s massive efforts to solidify security, stability and development.

For his part, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim underscored the strong and profound historical relations between the two countries, emphasizing Egypt’s pivotal role in protecting the security and stability of the Arab region. He also lauded Egypt's backing for Iraq and its genuine stances in support of all Arab and Islamic countries.

The meeting also focused on the tense regional situation and the war in the Gaza Strip, reviewing Egypt’s extensive efforts to reach a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of substantial quantities of humanitarian aid into Gaza to mitigate the severe humanitarian suffering of the people in the sector. During the talks, the two sides confirmed the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities in the protection of civilians and in reaching a ceasefire. They also affirmed the imperative importance of reaching a just and comprehensive settlement for the Palestinian issue, and warned of the gravity of the ongoing escalation and its repercussions on stability in the region.
